Cancelled: Benefit for Upcycling Documentary at N-Street Music

Funraiser has been cancelled

Misner & Smith, Good Dog, Lo & The Mix and Hannah Mayree play an intimate house concert at N-Street Music on Saturday January 28th.  The show is a benefit to support production costs for a documentary about the subject of grassroots reuse and recycling. There will be talks by reuse guru Larry Fisher and filmmaker Alvin Remmers and a silent auction. "Throwaway" (the film) will explore how innovative reuse and reconstruction gives new life and function to many items that currently end up as garbage. It will show how we can begin to reverse the worst environmental impacts of our throwaway society in ways that can be easy, creative and save money.

The evening starts at 7:30pm, headlined by Americana/folk duo Misner & Smith. Award-winning songwriters, Megan Smith, on upright bass and mandolin, and Sam Misner on guitar retain a connection to roots music that has been described as “the perfect balance between traditional and contemporary”. Music videos and more information can be found at their website, Folksinger Hannah Mayree, R&B group Lo & The Mix and bluegrass band Good Dog perform acoustic sets to open the show. Refreshments will be available.

Tickets are available online at:

Remaining tickets if available will be $25 at the door.

N Street Music is located at 716 N Street, Davis CA, 95616.
