N Street Music will host a benefit house
concert at the N Street Cohousing Common house on November 3rd, 2012.
The show will feature three renowned guitarists each playing solo
acoustic sets of original music playing in support of California’s
statewide river conservation organization.  The artists include Magic
Brook, Rex Richardson and J. Cedar Seeger.

Magic Brook defies labels and genres with his soulful acoustic guitar
work and unique blend of sounds. Brook’s fluid two-hand guitar
technique, percussive use of the instrument and blending of styles
enables him to create his own intriguing brand of powerful acoustic
music.   Rex Richardson travels from the beautiful Salmon River on
this rare occasion. As a specialist in interpreting poetry as song, he
blends the work of such poets as T.S. Elliot, Robert Frost and Dylan
Thomas with his expertise in flamenco, classical, jazz and folk guitar
styles. He finds expression in performing solo and in ensembles of
varying musical genres including Celtic, Rock & Roll and R & B. Local
favorite J. Cedar joins the fretted string monsters.  He is well known
for his diverse abilities as a lead player in the area, but also as a
solid singer/songwriter as a solo performer.  His songs are stories,
full of humor, irony and pull from the blues of the working class
struggle.

Friends of the River is nationally recognized as an authority on the
adverse impacts of dams on rivers and ecosystems and is the most
effective grassroots organization working on behalf of rivers. Friends
of the River led successful campaigns for the permanent protection of
many outstanding California rivers and streams - including the Kings,
Kern, Merced, Tuolumne, upper Klamath, West Walker, East Carson,
Sisquoc, and Big Sur Rivers; as well as Sespe Creek and Cache Creek.
